We are embarking on a period of development and change, exploring possibilities for innovative approaches to enhance the work of the Ministry.

Fundamental to these changes is the need to build strong communities and support them with community based initiatives, shifting the Ministrys focus from a Secondary Care (Hospital treatment) centric model to a Primary Care (community & preventative) model, aimed at building prevention and strong health promotion, reducing the burden for costly and sometimes unpleasant medical interventions through the Secondary Care setting.
